— The industrial recovery business is growing.
The number of new businesses seeking industrial recovery has been increasing in recent months, according to new data released by the National Industrial Recovery Agency.
The agency’s latest quarterly report shows that the industry grew 3 percent to more than 3,300 businesses in 2016, an increase of 7 percent from the previous quarter.
That is a 17 percent increase from the same quarter last year.
More than 2,700 businesses are still seeking industrial restoration services, and more than 1,300 of those are located in the South.
The overall number of businesses seeking the services has been growing steadily for years, according the agency.
In its report, the agency said industrial recovery is gaining in popularity with consumers.
“The number of industrial recovery businesses has grown in recent years to nearly 3,400 businesses, an improvement of nearly 7 percent over the previous year,” the agency reported.
The growth has come as more than 40 percent of households are now paying more for their home than they did a decade ago.
The average cost of a home increased from $400,000 to $540,000 over that same period, according data from real estate firm CBRE.
