The study, published Tuesday, says there are about 17 million jobs in the United States that are at “high risk” of automation over the next 15 years.
According to the report, these jobs include workers in the transportation, warehousing, logistics and retail industries.
The jobs could include retail workers, accountants, account executive and other types of professionals.
The report also said that the number of manufacturing jobs in Michigan is expected to rise by 3 million jobs over the same period.
There are a lot of industries in Michigan that are very vulnerable to automation, the report says, and the impact of automation will be especially felt in manufacturing, a major sector that employs almost 80 percent of all the state’s workforce.
The report also found that nearly two-thirds of manufacturing workers are either part-time or actively looking for full-time employment in the next five years, according a recent report from the American Automotive Workers Union.
Michigan is not alone in its concerns about automation.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that in 2020, nearly half of all U.N. workers will be working part- time, and that the U.K. will experience a 10 percent increase in manufacturing jobs by 2030.
In addition, the American Society of Civil Engineers says that more than 1.4 million U.D.C. workers would be impacted by automation by 2030, according the report.
More than half of U. S. factories would be automated by 2030A growing number of companies are exploring ways to automate their workforces and use robots in some capacity, according with the report by the U-M engineering school.
The study found that many U.M. engineers and engineers’ union have been working to develop solutions to protect and preserve their jobs.
The university’s School of Engineering and Applied Science is one of the nation’s leading research institutions in the field of automation.
The university’s Center for Manufacturing Research is working with industry partners to develop the next generation of robots and automation.
U-MI has been collaborating with companies that are working on this technology for decades.
The Center for Robotics and Automation is the largest organization of its kind in the world, and its members have developed the first robot capable of performing manual tasks, such as turning off a light, the UMI report said.
The U. Michigan report also cited the work of an artificial intelligence startup called Sentient, which has developed a program that can predict the performance of an assembly line worker.
Sentient can then predict how to best respond to problems in the production process.
